But I love this page - I have only really started looking through it as there is so much in it. And no I don't need someone to tell me what to clean and do each day but It's great to see what everyone else is up to. Well today I decided to tackle my linen closet which was in desperate need of a tidy. It's a massive closet - the house we were previously in, the linen closet was 1/4 of the size of this one. My linen closet was filled with sheets upon sheets (my mum gave me lots of my sheets and my brother's sheets from when we were little as soon as I had kids for me to use), lots of towels - both beach and bath, games, xrays (?) a printer, blankets, doona's, boxes of fabric ETC. So I decided to do a massive clean and throw out and the end result is fantastic! Here is the before picture.
Luckily today, my number 3 baby - Ella had a great day and decided to sleep alot so I had time to do this. I threw out any sheets that had lost elastic or had holes etc - same with towels and blankets that we weren't ever going to use. I placed all the sheets in piles for each child (as they are all in different size beds at the moment) -I also labelled them too. A pile for single sheets and sheets for our bed and for pillow cases. I placed each set of sheets into the corresponding pillowcase to keep them together. A pile for towels and towels for guests along with kid's bath towels and beach towels. The bottom shelf I made a spot for the kids games (so they can get to them themselves). I still have some more room left over which is great as I probably have other things that can go in there instead of the draws in the kitchen. Oh how fun! Here is the after shot:
I threw out FOUR massive garbage bags filled with towels and sheets. Oh this feels good. Anyway baby is crying again.. the joys of a mummy :) I encourage you to clean out your linen cupboard this week!
